Ce livre est un livre de théologie spirituellle qui, à la lumière des premiers Père de l'Église successeurs des Apotres, donne un éclairage joyeux et lumineux du but de la vie chrétienne que les Saints Pères et l'Orthodoxie résume par cet adage:

Pourquoi ais-je choisi l'Orthodoxie ?

Que m'apportent-elle de plus que les autres confessions chrétiennes et des autres religions ?

Qui cherche, trouve. A qui demande on donnera. A qui frappe on ouvrira.

Dans la video le directeur de l'école de théologie dit ceci:

" Si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus profond allez chez les orthodoxes pas chez les catholiques eux ils ne sont pas très sérieux ".

Personnellement ayant été moi même catholique avant de venir à l'orthodoxie, je dirai qu'il y a du sérieux dans toutes confessions chrétiennes. Seulement le catholicisme a perdu, depuis le schisme de 1054, ( https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C3%A9paration_des_%C3%89glises_d%27Orient_et_d%27Occident)la théologie spirituelle des Saints Pères d'orient et d'occident pour adopter une théologie thomiste( Thomas d'Aquin ) théologie rationnelle puisqu'elle à pour fondement les principes scientifique d'Aristote. C'est une théologie intellectuelle. L'homme essaie de saisir Dieu par son raisonnement, dans l'Orthodoxie c'est l'homme qui se laisse saisir par Dieu en combattant ces intentions égocentriques dans la prière et la pratique des commandements.

Par ce choix le catholicisme n'a jamais admit la théologie des énergies divines principe même de la déification par lesquelles le chrétien devient semblable au Christ, à Son image et à Sa ressemblance. C'est le but de l'Incarnation du Verbe, déifier la nature humaine soumise à la mort et au péché.

Déifié par les énergies du Très Saint Bon et Vivifiant Esprit, le chrétien participe à la vie trinitaire et devient au autre christ dans le Christ.

La Divine Liturgie est le lieu privilégié de la déification du chrétien quand celui-ci communie aux énergies divines du Christ, moyennant la foi, pour peu à peu être remplit de la Lumière Trinitaire.

Ayant d'abord une profondeur spirituelle dans l'exercice de l'ascèse, la pratique des commandements et la prière spirituelle, l'intellect tourné vers la lumière de la Sainte Trinité, le chrétien orthodoxe peut aller dans le monde porter cette lumière à tous ceux et celles qui la cherchent. Il devient un semeur sans se soucier si cela poussera ou non, il met sa confiance en Dieu et invite la liberté humaine à y adhérer.
